Pakistan, Russia: Chambers assess business potential

The Leningrad Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) have signed an agreement to broaden and deepen economic ties and identify areas of cooperation in trade and investment.
Pakistan Russia Business Council Chairman Farooq Afzal, on behalf of the FPCCI, and LCCI’s Head of Foreign Economic Relations Liliia Arakelova inked the memorandum of understanding.
After that, business meetings were arranged to enable the two sides to assess the business potential between Russia and Pakistan.
A meeting was also held with Andrey Chulkov, Head of Federal Customs Revenue Division, during which tariff issues faced by Pakistani exporters were discussed. The governor of Saint Petersburg met a delegation of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and during deliberations issues of visas and trade were taken up.
