LAHORE:
A judicial magistrate on Thursday granted bail to actor Meera in a marriage dispute case. The court ordered her to furnish Rs50,000 as surety.
At the start of the hearing, the actress was held in court custody for 35 minutes for ignoring orders to appear in court. The court then adjourned the hearing until October 1.
Ateequr Rehman, who claims to be Meera’s husband, had filed the application. He said Meera had married another man without obtaining a divorce from him.
In July, the court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Meera after she failed to attend a hearing.
