Media operations: Ian Majewski joins Orientedge UM

Ian Majewski has joined the Orient Group to head its media operation in Pakistan, the company said in a press release.
He joins from Omnicom South Africa where he was director for trading and operations based in Johannesburg and played a key role in maintaining the group’s top position in the market via several major new business wins.
Says Ian: “I am delighted in joining with Orient Universal McCann in Pakistan and rejoining the Universal network.” Most markets around the world are focusing on media costs, he said adding, “We are well positioned here in Pakistan to follow that trend and deliver very cost effective solutions for our clients. I look forward to the exciting challenge in Pakistan.” Masood Hashmi, Chairman, Orient McCann said this will be a great change and “we look forward to positive improvements in the near future.”
