Caught: NAB arrests fraudulent builder

The spokesperson added that he usurped an amount of Rs19 million from the allottees

KARACHI:
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi, apprehended Sheikh Muhammad Yousuf of Eden Builders and Developers, from his residence in Karachi. A NAB spokesperson said that he had unlawfully launched the Eden Builders, Fatima Garden Malir scheme in 2005, promising allottees that the work will be completed and plots handed over to them within 30 months. He added that he was involved in corruption, as he failed to handover the possession of 112 plots to the rightful owners. The spokesperson added that he usurped an amount of Rs19 million from the allottees. He also launched the scheme without taking a non-objectionable certificate from the Sindh Building Control Authority.
