PSL mania: Superstars excited about our very own Super League

Find out what some of the biggest names in Pakistan have to say about PSL

Find out what some of the biggest names in Pakistan have to say about PSL.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is still a few months away from kicking off but we can't wait for cricket to come back home. Well, not exactly home but you know what we mean.

Turns out, our enthusiasm is also shared by our celebrities and politicians who have taken to social media to express their support for the project.

Take a look for yourself:

Rockstar Ali Zafar may have a surprise for us so don't tune out, while his good friend and superstar Mahira Khan seems to already have her batting gloves on!

Mathira will also be there and we must admit, we do miss Mathira. Maybe she can sing Dil Dil Pakistan for the teams. And while we miss AurAurAur, Superstar Humayun Saeed seems to have missed team green for too long:

Cricketer Shoaib Malik loves the energy and attention PSL has garnered, while Humaima Malick has found more excuses to take cricket selfies. Mawra will also be there and she is excited at the prospect of meeting all her celeb friends in one place:

Of course, designer Nomi Ansari has other concerns which are far more important and 'stressful':

Singer Haroon shared a cricket video from Burka Avengers, while Hamza Ali Abbasi had no complaints for once. Let's hope there aren't any cheerleaders in the pipeline:

Singer Umair Jaswal, who is soaring high on his Coke Studio success, also urged fans to support the PSL. You can catch him at the event, moving like Jagger.

Some politicians also weighed in on the launch of PSL. Former PCB chief and veteran journalist Najam Sethi wasn't in the mood to reveal what his 'birdie' had told him just yet:

PTI leader Shireen Mazari was at her Mazari best, while Reham kept it a little mysterious:

PTI leader Asad Umar was all praise for our team. We wonder if Imran is going to attend the event. Nothing better than a World Cup winner to boost our players morale:

Meanwhile, Senator Rehman Malik also gave his two cents:

In case you're wondering what's happening on 20th September; PSL has announced that it will reveal its logo on that date:

The inaugural season of the PSL is set to include five teams from the provincial capitals – Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta – and will feature 24 matches from February 4-24, 2016.

These five teams will comprise international cricket stars as well as local talent. Each team will have four international players and eight Pakistani players.

‘Go Big or Go Home’ seems to be the idea behind the first edition of Pakistan’s biggest cricket tournament and it has sent fans in a tizzy.
