Free aafia: Former US senator appeals for release

A former US senator Mike Gravel has renewed his appeal to the Obama Administration to release the Pakistani Neuroscientist Dr Aafia Siddiqui, who is undergoing an 86-year sentence at a Prison Medical Center at Texas. Addressing a crowded press conference at UN Headquarters in New York, he appealed to President Barack Obama to grant pardon to Dr Siddiqui, as a goodwill gesture towards the people of Pakistan who have been vigorously demanding her release.
