Suspects were arrested in late June by the Rangers on their alleged involvement in the land scam in the city
KARACHI:
An accountability court remanded on Tuesday two suspects to National Accountability Bureau's custody for their alleged involvement in preparation of fake documents for the purpose of land grabbing.
Subsequently, they were taken into a 90-day preventive detention. Later, they were handed over to the police and a case of ‘china-cutting’ and terror-financing was registered against them. The suspects caused losses to the national exchequer with their fraudulent schemes, said the officials. They presented themselves as officers of the Karachi Development Authority, the bureau added. The court sent the suspects to NAB custody and on a two-week physical remand for questioning.
