Pay up: WASA prepares to recover dues
Action will also be taken against those SDOs who will fail to implement the crackdown
FAISALABAD:
The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has evolved a phased strategy to take strict action against chronic defaulters who had failed to pay their dues despite repeated notices and requests, a spokesperson for Wasa told journalists on Tuesday. He said in the first phase of the campaign, the authority would take action against major defaulters. All SDOs had been told to disconnect connections of at least five industrial, five commercial and five domestic defaulters. Action will also be taken against those SDOs who will fail to implement the crackdown in its true spirit, he said.
