Pishin raid: Large cache of explosives, detonators recovered

QUETTA:
The Frontier Corps (FC) recovered on Tuesday a huge amount of explosives used in making bombs from the Kurram post on Pak-Afghan border's adjoining Pishin area of Balochistan.

According to an FC spokesperson, security forces raided the said area and recovered 4,000kg of explosive material along with 500 detonators and telecommunication devices from two vehicles.


The paramilitary force also apprehended three suspects for their alleged involvement in a terror bid, said the spokesperson, adding further investigation was ongoing.

Earlier on September 2, security forces had conducted an intelligence based operation in Killa Abdullah and recovered suicide vests, anti-aircraft guns, IEDs, and rocket propelled grenades (RPG) along with equipment used to create bombs.
