Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced on Monday that Zul Hajjah moon was not sighted anywhere across the country, hence Eidul Azha would fall on September 25.

According to Express News, the committee meeting was held at the Meteorological office in Karachi after which its chairman announced the date for Eidul Azha.

However, on September 13, a local crescent-sighting body in Peshawar had decided Eidul Azha would be observed on September 24 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting headed by Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai was held at Masjid Qasim Ali Khan for establishing the start of the month of Zul Hajjah.
