Election campaign: ‘JI will play its role in ensuring justice’
JI secretary-general Liaquat Baloch demanded that lingering issues of slum areas such as Gadap should be resolved

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will play its due role in changing the prevailing system so that justice can be doled out to the poverty-stricken populace, said JI secretary-general Liaquat Baloch hoping that the political culture of Karachi will change after the upcoming local bodies’ elections. Baloch was addressing an electoral convention held in Gadap on Sunday. Corruption, lawlessness, injustice, load shedding and public transport issues have made the lives of people of Karachi miserable, he claimed. He demanded that lingering issues of slum areas such as Gadap should be resolved.
