No alliance with PPP: Shujaat
Shujaat Hussain says the PML-Q has no intentions of allying with the PPP in Punjab.
LAHORE:
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that his party is not forming an alliance with Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in Punjab. Shujaat made these comments during his meeting with a JUP delegation at his residence in Lahore.
The PML-Q chief said his party is not in favour of toppling the government as it will not bring about a good result.
He also criticised PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif for playing a friendly-opposition's role. Shujaat also warned that no amendment will be tolerated in the Blasphemy Law.
It was reported earlier that Shujaat called on the residence of PTI leader, Imran Khan to devise a joint strategy to solve all issues the country is dealing with. He was accompanied by Moonis Elahi and Chaudhry Zaheeruddin in his meeting with Khan.
The meeting between the two leaders did not confirm a concrete alliance and only a promise to fight for the welfare of the masses in future.
