LAHORE:
A man accused of extorting money from a lawyer in Nankana Sahib was beaten up by a group of lawyers at the Lahore High Court premises on Friday before he could appear before the court to submit his petition against the accusations. Petitioner Naseer Ahmad’s counsel told the media the assault was meant to prevent him from defending himself against false accusations. He said a lawyer, Muhammad Boota, had registered an FIR against his client alleging that he was demanding money from Boota and issuing death threats to him.
