Congratulations: Intermediate exams results announced

First position shared by two boys

LAHORE:
The overall first position in the intermediate examination 2015 was shared by two boys who each scored 1,044 marks out of 1,100. The second position holder scored 1,043 marks and the third position was shared by two girls who each secured 1,042 marks.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore Chairman Nasrullah Virk announced the names of the position holders at a press conference at the board office on Friday.

Muhammad Umar of KIPS College for Boys, Johar Town, and Syed Shayan Zahid of Government College University secured 1044 marks each. Abyaz Asmar of Government Kinnaird College for Women stood second with 1,043 marks, and Mahnoor Wazeer of Government Kinnaird College for Women and Rimsha Zia of the Punjab College for Women, Muslim Town, secured 1,042 marks each and stood third overall.

In the Pre-Medical Group (boys), Faisal Maqsood stood first with 1,041 marks. Muhammad Awais and Muhammad Zawar Asif stood second with 1,037 marks and the third position was shared by Muhammad Afraz Naeem and Zargham Abbas Syed who secured 1,036 marks.

In the Pre-Medical Group (girls), Abyaz Asmar stood first, Mahnoor Wazeer second and Namal Nasir third.

In the Pre-Engineering Group, Muhammad Umar and Syed Shayan Zahid among boys stood first, Muhammad Tahirul Haq stood second and Muhammad Nasik Tahir stood third. In the Pre-Engineering Group (girls), Rimsha Zia got first position, Javeria Rizwan stood second and Ayesha Khurram stood third.


In the General Science Group (boys), Muhammad Abid stood first, Muhammad Shehryar stood second and Mir Ahmed Jalal stood third. Among girls, Rabia Noor stood first, Sakina second, and Aniqa Imtiaz and Shumaila Khan shared the third position.

In the Commerce Group (boys), Muhammad Hasnain stood first, Hamza Shahbaz stood second and Jawad Ahmad Butt got the third position. Among girls, Malaika Raheed secured first position, Hira Salahud Din stood second, and Rabia Haider and Mahrukh Gull shared the third position.

In the Humanities Group (boys), Mehran Akbar stood first, Sajjad Asghar second and Ghulam Qasim Ameer stood third.

Among girls, Nagheen Fatima secured first position, Hiba Arshad stood second and Dua Hamid third.

Dr Virk congratulated the students, teachers and parents of the position holders.

BISE officials announced that the complete results would be declared on Saturday (today) and the results would be available on the board’s website.
