ISLAMABAD:
Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has observed that judiciary will continue to play its role against corruption but will not compromise on the delivery of justice.

“Now no one will be victimised,” Justice Nasir said heading the three-judge bench hearing the multi-billion Ogra corruption case involving its ex-chairman Tauqir Sadiq.

“All the cases related to NAB will be taken to logical conclusion,” he said regarding the mega-scams National Accountability Bureau has brought to the court.

A person is innocent until proven guilty, however this principle is rarely observed in Pakistan where every detained person is labelled a criminal.

Justice Saqib said that they will not give their opinion against any individual or institution until evidences would be proved against them.

Justice Nisar urged to refrain from discussing on media the issues which are sub-judice before the court because he believes that such media discussions may affect the judges’ opinions.
