Loudspeaker Act Violation : Non-bailable warrants for DJ Butt issued

The court noticed that no medical certificate was produced before the court

ISLAMABAD: Non-bailable warrants of arrests were issued on Thursday once again for Asif Nazar Butt popularly known as DJ Butt, who rose to fame during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s sit-in last year, in a case pertaining to violation of ban on the use of loudspeaker in the capital. AC Secretariat Waqas Rasheed issued arrest warrants for the PTI’s former music guru after he failed to appear before the court. The assistant commissioner’s court issued warrants in connection with violation of Section 144 of the criminal procedure code and Amplifier Act during the sit-in. The court directed the police to arrest Nazar and present him before the court at the next hearing. The counsel of DJ Butt informed the court that his client could not appear before the court due to ailment. The court noticed that no medical certificate was produced before the court.
