In protest: Students threaten to padlock colleges

Following the unrest, the college was shut down

BANNU:
Brushing aside allegations of hooliganism and showing disrespect to administration bigwigs, students of Bannu Postgraduate College have threatened to padlock all schools and colleges of the district if the management does not reopen the institute within 24 hours. The administration has been accused of selling expensive trees and plants that were college property, at cheap rates and embezzling between Rs0.25 to 0.3 million that was allotted for renovation of campus buildings and the cafeteria. Students took the issue up with admissions director Khoob Nawaz Khan whose son and other officials mistreated them. Following the unrest, the college was shut down.
