Lady Health Workers continued their protests against the provincial and federal governments for not releasing their salaries for the last four months and giving them adhoc positions instead of permanent ones.
A massive protest was launched by LHWs along with lady health supervisors and drivers in Swat. Another protest of a similar nature was launched outside the Charsadda Press Club.
Similar demands were made at both protests held against the failure of the government to fulfill the demands of LHWs despite a clear verdict from the Supreme Court of Pakistan to provide them permanent jobs. In addition, K-P Health Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai also approved the summary of their salaries but the issue remains unresolved.
