KARACHI: EFU Life Assurance’s annual report 2014, “The Future…Belongs To Those Who Create It’, was awarded the first runner-up in the Best Corporate Report Award 2014 in the non-banking financial institutions category. This ranking is declared by a joint committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP). The non-banking financial institutions category comprises the insurance industry, both life and general insurance, modarabas, asset management companies and leasing companies. Since 2000, ICAP and ICMAP are jointly organising the awards with an objective to encourage and give recognition to companies for showing excellence in their annual corporate reports. The award recognises the best annual reports of companies in terms of corporate accountability and transparency.
