Quack Doctor : Baby dies from getting wrong medicine

Police said they had registered a case on the parents’ complaint

KHANPUR:
A baby died on Tuesday allegedly after a quack administered wrong medicines to him. City police said that 18-months-old Abdur Rehman was unwell and his mother Samina Bibi and his grandfather were waiting at a bus stop to take him to a hospital when they were approached by a man who said he was a doctor. Police said Khalil Ahmed persuaded them to bring the child to his clinic in Riaz Colony where he administered two injections. Police said after that the child’s condition worsened and later died. The family took him to the Khanpur THQ hospital where Medical Officer Dr Naushab Ahmed declared him dead. Police said they had registered a case on the parents’ complaint.
