Up in arms: Clerks leave Bahawalpur for protest in Lahore
More than 250 clerks and officials from Bahawalpur are expected to participate
BAHAWALPUR:
Hundreds of members of the All Pakistan Clerks Association in Bahawalpur left for Lahore at 4pm on Tuesday to participate in a protest demonstration in Lahore on Wednesday (today).
The protesting clerks from Bahawalpur will be led by APCA divisional president Hafiz Akhtar Rana. Rana held a meeting in which he said that the national and provincial leaders of the APCA had called for a showdown protest in front of the civil secretariat in Lahore on Wednesday. Bahawalpur APCA members who do not participate in the protest will be on strike in Bahawalpur. More than 250 clerks and officials from Bahawalpur are expected to participate in the demonstration in Lahore.
