Suspect arrested: Blind murder case resolved after six months

Zulfiqar traced the suspect and arrested him along with the weapon used in the murder

The Naseerabad police claimed to have resolved a blind murder case and arrested the suspected murderer from Swat.


The man, identified as Habibullah, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of Dawood Shah, a resident of Qasimabad in Rawalpindi. Police said armed assailants shot at Dawood outside his house on March 2 this year.


The case was registered with the Naseerabad police station.


Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi Fakhar Sultan Raja while taking notice of delay in investigation issued a show cause notice to SHO Ehsan Tanvir and appointed Zulfiqar Ahmed as the investigation officer to resolve the case.


Zulfiqar traced the suspect and arrested him along with the weapon used in the murder.


Further investigation is under way.
