KARACHI: The surveillance system and security monitoring of the police should be enhanced for the upcoming local government polls in the province, said chief secretary Muhammad Siddiq Memon on Tuesday. He issued these directives during a visit to the Central Command and Control Centre at the Central Police Office, said an official. The chief secretary instructed that the surveillance system and security monitoring should be further expanded so that full protection can be provided to the people during the polls. He stressed that these polls should be conducted in a safe and peaceful manner. Speaking about the importance of the surveillance system, he said that it helps in arresting the accused and bringing them to justice.
