LDA claims to have comforted maximum number of complaints this year.

LAHORE:
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has claimed to have comforted maximum number of complaints in the year 2010.

An official of the LDA said that complainants and applicants were answered efficiently by a speedy process through the one-window established in the same year in Johar Town.

A press released issued by the LDA on Sunday stated that application and complaints about plots’ transfers, approval of architectures, planning and issuance of the completion certificates among others were handled with the help of latest computerised systems.

It claimed that some 13,336 applicants have been relieved and Rs300 million of revenue has been generated through this service since September, 2010.

The press release stated that in present fiscal year, the LDA urban development wing had expanded Rs4.4 billion on different development projects, while Rs825.9 million on housing schemes.

On the directions from the Supreme Court, the LDA demolished illegally constructed portions of 12 buildings in the city, it said.
