Leading lady of Bollywood Deepika Padukone, who was launched by King Khan, spoke about her equation with SRK and the superstar's influence on her life.

In a recent interview with DNA, Deepika -- having starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in three films -- gives him credit for never intimidating her.

"I am never intimidated or scared when it comes to him and I give him credit for it. I am very, very dependent on him. You know there are always those few equations in everyone’s lives that you build along the way and you know you can rely on those people, he's one of those," she said.

"You can trust them and rely on them to be there if you’re ever stuck or confused about anything in life. He is definitely that person in my life. I think that’s how our relationship has evolved," she added.

Deepika, who first shared screen space with SRK in Farah Khan's directorial Om Shanti Om, recalled her experience about the first encounter with Bollywood's superstar. "I remember the first time, when the gates to Mannat opened and Farah took me to meet him. I’ll never forget that visual in my head," she said.

She shared the time when Farah and SRK extended their support to her during the initial days of her career saying, "Baby, if you ever need anything, we are a phone call away."

But the bold actress was a little hesitant back then. "I always felt they were saying it out of obligation. I would be like ‘How can I call them now in the middle of the day, middle of the night or land up at their house?" exclaimed Deepika.

The Piku actress also shared the best advice King Khan has given her. "I remember him telling me, ‘Whatever film you do, make sure you have fun’. This has always stayed with me — doing films where I know I’m going to enjoy myself and the people I am working alongside," she said.
