Accountability: Scam suspects’ remand extended

The court has directed the National Accountability Bureau to complete the investigation until the next hearing

LAHORE: An accountability court on Monday extended until September 22 the physical remand of some former and some incumbent officials of the Gujranwala Cooperative Housing Society for making unlawful profits. The suspects include Assistant Registrar Chaudhry Fakharul Zaman, former society president Yaqoob Lona, former finance secretary Zakaullah Bhatti, former Land Purchase Committee member Tariq Ashraf Khan, secretary Mian Ghulam Ali, Naveed Shaukat and Ahmad Sadiq. The court has directed the National Accountability Bureau to complete the investigation until the next hearing.
