Up in arms: Relatives of murdered men protest
They demanded action against the men who shot had their relatives
BAHAWALPUR:
Scores of residents of Chak 148-DNB held a protest in front of the Press Club on Monday and demanded that the government take action against members of land mafia and some officials who were their cohorts. The protesters said members of land mafia accompanied by an officer of the Excise and Taxation Department and some cops tried to evict them from their land on January 25. They said members of the land mafia had shot at them and killed two of their men. They said police had registered a case on their complaint but later took a bribe. They demanded action against the men who shot had their relatives.
