Tiebreaker: Nazims in Wari yet to be elected
Jamaat-e-Islami had fielded Hussain Ahmad against Muttahida Mahaz’s Gul Bahadur

Re-election on the tehsil nazim and naib nazim berths in Wari tehsil of Upper Dir could not take place on the scheduled date, September 6, because the election commission had suspended all the activities for the day. This was said by Returning Officer Muhammad Ilyas. Re-elections were scheduled after results of the contesting candidates ended in a tie. In the tehsil, Jamaat-e-Islami had fielded Hussain Ahmad against Muttahida Mahaz’s Gul Bahadur. Bahadur said when he and his supporters reached the RO’s office in the morning, they found it locked. Later, members of the MM protested in front of the office and blamed JI for the delay.
