Back-to-school: USEFP organises educational fair

The US consulate staff answered questions regarding visas, life in the US and college applications

KARACHI:
Education USA Pakistan and the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) organised a back-to-school fair in Karachi. Hundreds of students met alumni from 40 colleges and universities of United States (US). The US consulate staff answered questions regarding visas, life in the US and college applications. Education USA advising manager Umair Khan said that they organised the fair to familiarise students with what studying in US is all about. According to Khan, Education USA Pakistan and USEFP will also hold similar fairs in Lahore and Islamabad. “Every year, the number of international students in the United States rises,” said acting consul-general Chad Peterson.
