PML-N councillor shot dead in Kohat
A case wasn't registered till the filing of this report. Police said element of personal enmity could not be ruled out
KOHAT:
Unidentified armed men on Saturday evening shot dead A district councillor of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Kohat.
According to an official of Muhammad Riaz Shaheen Police Station, PML-N councillor Nasrullah was sitting outside his residence in Sheikhan area of Kohat when unidentified attackers opened fire at him, injuring him seriously.
Nasrullah died on the spot, while attackers managed to flee.
Police said the angle of personal enmity can not be ruled out as deceased had enemies in the area.
A case was not registered till the filing of this report.

Earlier on Saturday, a newly elected district councillor of the Awami National Party (ANP), Malik Mumtaz, was killed in an IED blast Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district.
“Mumtaz succumbed to injuries after an IED planted on the side of the road went off, injuring three others travelling with him in the car,” deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Subhan confirmed.
