Kidnapping and murder: Schoolteacher killed by fiancée, who wished to marry girlfriend

Police says main accused, Fiza, and Shakeel killed the teacher by cuffing her hands and feet, and then strangled her

Police officials are investigating the kidnapping and murder of a female schoolteacher, claiming that they had made a major breakthrough in the case following the arrest of the victim's fiancée on Saturday.

Quratulain, who taught at Aminabad School in PIB Colony, went missing on September 2, with her her family filing a report with PIB Colony police. Later, police discovered that the girl had been kidnapped and her body was found in Allahwala Town in Korangi Industrial Area the same day.

According to District East SSP Javed Jiskani, the victim came to school as per routine at 7:40am on September 2. She was contacted by three individuals, Fiza, Sakina and Bakar Abbas, who convinced her to go with them to meet her fiancée, Manzar Abbas.

“These three people took her in their Alto to a place known as Defence Lodge on DHA Phase V’s Street 7,” said SSP Jiskani. “There, a person named Haider had booked the room booked for the accused persons to murder the deceased,” he said. These three people, in connivance with Haider, Manzar and Shakeel, who works at the Defence Lodge rest house, kept her hostage.


The main accused, Fiza, and Shakeel killed Quratulain by strangling after cuffing her hands and feet first.

“Her body was disposed of by Fiza, Shakeel and a yellow-cab driver, Jahangir Dashti, in Korangi.”

SSP Jiskani said that the police found the body and have arrested six suspects.

An FIR under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code has been lodged against them at PIB Colony police station.

They claimed that Abbas was the mastermind behind the murder since he intended to marry his girlfriend, Fiza.
