District Coordination Officer Zahid Saleem Gondal said on Friday eight cattle markets would be set up in Multan for Eid. He was talking to newsmen after a meeting.
The DCO directed the town administration to select sites for the cattle markets in two days. He said cash counters would set up at the cattle markets to facilitate buyers and sellers. The DCO said cleanliness should be ensured at these markets.He said people adulterated food items eliminated from the city before Eid. He said a food authority would be established in Multan soon. He said the authority would fine those selling adulterated food. He said under Section 144 of Pakistan Penal Code burning of carcasses on Eid had been banned.
