Incidents of car lifting in the federal capital have decreased by over 50 per cent, according to SSP Operations Sajid Kiani.
He added that joint patrols of police and rangers have been increased, adding that screening of areas such as Bhara Khau, Tarnol and Sabzi Mandi will continue till the completion of Operation Zarb-e-Azb by the army in North Waziristan Agency.

Incidents of car lifting in the federal capital have decreased by over 50 per cent, according to SSP Operations Sajid Kiani.
The operations chief of police said his force’s ‘anti-car-lifting cell’ was working to control incidents of car theft in the capital.
The SSP said only 230 incidents of car lifting were reported in the first eight months of the year, compared to 500 reported incidents during the same period last year.
Talking about security of the capital, he said the city has 164 entrance and exit points, making it difficult to deploy personnel at every location.
He added that joint patrols of police and rangers have been increased, adding that screening of areas such as Bhara Khau, Tarnol and Sabzi Mandi will continue till the completion of Operation Zarb-e-Azb by the army in North Waziristan Agency.
