MANSEHRA:

Former MNA Laiq Muhammad Khan said his dissident group “punished Imran Khan for his double standards.” Speaking at a ceremony in honour of Mansehra nazim Sardar Said Ghulam and naib nazim Murtaza Tanoli, Senator Azam Swati’s younger brother said, “Imran had forgotten merit when he was issuing tickets to relatives of cabinet members and MPAs in seven districts.

He denied my son Ahmed Shehryar Khan the right to become the nazim with majority votes.” Laiq said earlier the party had only 11 votes in hand and it was his family that increased the number to 49. Laiq said the senate berth means nothing to his brother and his group has decided to join hands with Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf. In his address, former K-P minister Ibrar Hussain Tanoli said when the CM found out that QWP was siding with PML-N, Khattak threatened to initiate NAB cases against him on the phone.
