Lonely Lala reaches out to fans on Twitter
Bored Afridi tries to find someone 'online' during US trip
Pakistan T20 captain Shahid Afridi is on a trip to the United States for the Shahid Afridi Foundation, but things seem to gotten a little boring for the entertainer.
The cricketer posted a picture of himself on microblogging site Twitter, with s caption, reading, "Just checking! No one is online."
The tweet led to a flurry of fans rushing to entertain the visibly bored Afridi, most trying their utmost to get a measly reply out of the cricket legend.
One of Afridi's fans posted that students in Pakistan are sleeping at this time while people like him are going to work. Lala's suggestion was short but interesting, "Enjoy it my friend."
Lala also found a fairy trying to convince him to talk to her, and he was up for it.
Another fan tried to impress the all-rounder with his language skills claiming he is Afridi's biggest fan in English, Urdu and Pashto.
Another fan of Afridi said he didn't care about celebrities much but Lala was an exceptional case.
One other fan inquired if Afridi would be participating in 2015 Bangladesh Premier League, only because he wanted to take a selfie with him (note: move over Ahmed Shehzad). Lala replied, saying "maybe."
Afridi then went AWOL and some of his fans didn't like him leaving without saying goodbye while others were left pleading for just a single reply from him.
Afridi is on a break from cricket as is the whole Pakistan cricket team. They will be visiting Zimbabwe from September 26 till October 5 in a three-T20 and three-ODI series. Later, they will be hosting England in the UAE in mid-October.
