ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information Technology and Telecom Anusha Rahman on Thursday said in view of tremendous response of third and fourth generation services, the government intends to hold the next round of spectrum auction in the near future. “Pakistan has witnessed a phenomenon increase in the numbers of subscribers and market forces have already expressed their appetite for more spectrum,” she said while talking to Turkish Ambassador Babur Girgin. The meeting discussed various issues of mutual interest. Secretary IT Azmat Ali Ranjha was also present in the meeting. “It is an ardent desire that Turk cellular companies should also participate in the next bidding,”said Rahman.
