Laudable initiative: Thalassemia centres planned in country

The government is committed to provide better health facilities to the people

CHAKWAL:
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani reiterated on Wednesday the federal government’s resolve to establish thalassemia centres across the country. “The government is committed to provide better health facilities to the people,” he said while inaugurating a thalassemia centre at District Headquarters Hospital, Chakwal. The centre has been established in collaboration with the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM). Dr Kirmani said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would get more votes in by-polls on the basis of its performance. PBM Managing Director Abdul Waheed Shaikh, speaking on the occasion, said soon a bone-marrow transplant centre would also be set up in Chakwal.
