Against promotions: IHC seeks reply from respondents

While maintaining status quo on Wednesday in cases pertaining to the promotions of bureaucrats, the Islamabad High Court issued notices and sought reply from respondents.

While maintaining status quo on Wednesday in cases pertaining to the promotions of bureaucrats, the Islamabad High Court issued notices and sought reply from respondents.
A division bench comprising Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Aamer Farooq remarked that it was conscious of the matter and it would not let the case prolong.
The bench, however, clarified that the case will be limited to the previous order only, as only the government has challenged the order.
Justice Minallah also remarked that the Central Selection Board would have to give reasons and justification for awarding marks at their discretion.
