LAHORE:
Ishq Positive seems to bode negative news for its lead actors, debutant Wali Hamid Ali Khan and Noor. The rumour mill is high on grist that the on-screen pair is romantically involved with each other off the reel, also citing this as why the film, which was slated for an Eidul Azha release, has been stalled. Rumour has it that their alleged affair isn’t sitting well with Wali’s family as news surfaces that either they have gotten him engaged to someone in the United States or he has secretly married Noor.

Wali, who is the son of Ustad Hamid Ali Khan, shrugged off the conjecture, holding ‘certain elements’ in the film industry liable for attempting to mar his film career. “I’m single and haven’t gotten married to Noor. She’s my best friend,” he clarified. “Also, I didn’t get engaged to anyone in the US. Some elements have been creating problems for me and my family,” added Wali, who is part of the band Raga Boyz.

He also confirmed that he and Noor will go on to complete Ishq Positive. According to sources, friendship between the two developed on the sets of   before Noor took the director’s seat from Sangeeta. Sources close to both the actors added that the love-struck Noor has promised to always be by Wali’s side.

Wali’s nascent career in film seems to have borne the brunt of these rumours, as he has no other film in the pipeline and his music career continues to stagnate. Noor, who was set to make her directorial debut with the film, and Wali, who was also expected to set foot in Bollywood, seem to have put their careers at stake due to their alleged relationship. Hamid termed the stories as ‘totally false’ and supported his son’s claims, saying, “It’s untrue that my son has gotten engaged in the US. People have been causing us trouble. My son is in the US on vacation and I’m hope about his bright career.”
