Faysal Bank Limited (FBL) has donated Rs10 million to the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT).

President and CEO of FBL Nauman Ansari handed over a cheque for Rs10 million to the head of SIUT, Dr Adeebul Hasan Rizvi, while visiting the state-of-the-art medical facility, according to a press release. The donation is intended to expand the operational expenses of SIUT, the release said.

While showing the FBL president around various departments of SIUT, Dr Rizvi pointed out that the institute’s only challenge is its lack of access to those who cannot manage to come to them for the treatment due to limited resources.

“That’s why SIUT has started establishing diagnostic and dialysis centres in different places,” he told Ansari. Informing the FBL president that there are four such centres in Karachi and one in Sukkur at present, Dr Rizvi said “it is because of great organisations like Faysal Bank who help us achieve these objectives proficiently.”
