Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is known to work with precision and Fazaia Housing Scheme in Karachi is a manifestation of that, said Air Marshal Ashfaque Arain, the Air staff administration deputy chief. “This is the first time we are opening Fazaia scheme for everyone in the city.”
The workers and journalists sat on a mound watching a helicopter descend and taking in the sand. It marked the arrival of Arain, the chief guest, for the inauguration of the gated community near the Northern Bypass, extending the boundaries of the city. The project is owned by PAF but is open to both civilians and PAF officers.
It caters to socio-cultural needs and fulfils aesthetic desire, said Syed Akbar Jameel of Archvision, the Fazaia project design consultant. “The design of this project is based on the present-day urban culture.”
“One-fourth of the total area is residential and 70 per cent of the land has open spaces in this project,” said Air Commodore Shoaib Ahmed, while speaking to the audience.
Fazaia Housing scheme features standard and luxury apartments. The project will feature shopping malls, gyms, grid stations, banks, modern security systems, golf course, mosque, sports centres and other facilities. The registration for flats can only be done through their authorised dealers.
