Nation celebrates 134th birth anniversary of Mohammad Ali Jinnah

Day begins with Change of Guard ceremony at Quaid's mausoleum in Karachi.

The nation is celebrating the 134th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah today (Saturday).


The day began with the Change of Guard ceremony at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi. The ceremony and parade were led by Commandant Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Major General Mazhar Jameel. A contingent of cadets from the PMA, Kakul mounted the guard at the mausoleum. Lady cadets also participated in the ceremony.

The government has declared the day a national holiday. The national flag will be hoisted atop all government buildings today to celebrate the occasion.
