Delimitation: Court seeks reply from ECP

Lahore High Court sought a reply on Friday from the Election Commission in a week on a petition challenging delimitations for local government elections. The petitioner told the government that delimitation officials had ignored provisions of the Local Government Act. He said the general public had been not been consulted on the delimitations. He said boundaries of union councils been changed without taking into account the city’s geography and population. “Many families are now split between various union councils,” the petitioner said.
