Bugti’s death anniversary: Partial strike observed in Balochistan
No untoward incident was reported
QUETTA:
Complete shutter-down strike was observed on Wednesday in the Baloch heartland, paying rich tributes to Nawab Akbar Bugti who was assassinated along with 30 other comrades in a military action on August 26, 2006. Life had come to a standstill in the Baloch mainland as a mark of respect to the slain leader amid demand that the murderers should be brought to book without any delay. No untoward incident was reported. In Quetta, all the major shopping centres, commercial establishments, business houses and even some of the chemists and druggists’ shops were also closed in response to the strike call.
