A meeting of the Ministry of Defense Production and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) on Tuesday deliberated on bringing together academic and industrial experts in different fields relevant to defense production.

A meeting of the Ministry of Defense Production and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) on Tuesday deliberated on bringing together academic and industrial experts in different fields relevant to defense production.
The meeting, chaired by Federal Minister for Defense Production, Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain, saw participants exploring opportunities for synergistic collaboration between the academia and the industry in support of defense production as per the prevalent norms in the developed world.
CIIT’s senior academics and management showed their full commitment to provide the desired Research and Development expertise and assistance in this regard.
Officials of both organisations agreed it was a commendable initiative which would go a long way to benefit Pakistan’s defense industry and its military production facilities.
