FC foils terror bid in Sui, seizes explosives
Unidentified armed men opened fire at ASI Ali Nawaz, killing him on the spot
QUETTA/SUI:
Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and officials of the security forces foiled on Tuesday an attempted terror bid during an investigation in Balochistan's Sui region.
According to initial reports, FC Balochistan seized around 15 kilogrammes of explosive materials along with four detonators and a remote control.

"The suspects were planning an attack on FC forces and gas pipelines between August 25 and 26, using the explosives," FC spokesperson stated.
In a separate incident near Quetta's Hazar Ganji road, unidentified armed men opened fire at Assistant Sub-Inspector Ali Nawaz of PS Shalkolt, which left him dead on the spot.

The armed men managed to escape and the body was shifted to Civil Hospital.
