At least two people died while two minors were injured in separate incidents in Swat. 

A man was allegedly killed in Charbagh area on Saturday night. Initial reports had revealed Adnan Khan had committed suicide following an altercation with his father.

Faisal Khan, an official of Charbagh police, told The Express Tribune Adnan shot himself in a field near his house.

“Bakht Nasar, his father, had told the police his son stormed out of their house after the disagreement and went towards the fields,” he said. “Later, Nasar was informed that his son has shot himself. He rushed to the field and saw his son’s body lying in a pool of blood. There was a pistol in Adnan’s hand.”

The body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy. However, a post-mortem report revealed Adnan received two bullets. As a result, police have started fresh investigation into the matter.

Accidental death


A man accidentally shot himself in Kandak, Barikot. The deceased has been identified as Rahim Taj.

An official of Barikot police told The Express Tribune Taj accidentally pulled the trigger while he was hunting in the area.

Snappy jaws

At least two minors were injured after they were bitten by a dog in Sangota on the outskirts of Mingora. They have been identified as Jamal and Sardar.

According to police, the incident occurred while the minors were on their way to buy groceries from a shop near their house. The children were shifted to Saidu Teaching Hospital.
