A girl was allegedly raped by her neighbours in Shorkot area on Saturday.
Amjad Lateef told police in his complaint that his 11-year-old niece was going to the market in Basti Nowani to buy some groceries when she was abducted by five men.
“They took her to a deserted house where they raped her,” he said. He said they also beat her when she resisted. He said they had also made a video and had threatened to air it online if she told anyone about the abduction and rape. He said they later left her there and fled.
The Shorkot SHO police station said police had registered a case against the suspects. “A team has been constituted to apprehend them,” he said.
He said the girl’s family had been advised to submit a medical examination report.
