A man had to be tied with cables to his seat after he punched a flight attendant in the face on an Emirates overnight flight from Dubai to Melbourne.
A witness revealed to Radio 3AW that the man who was quite worked up and irritated chased after the flight attendant and hit her after she told him he could not lie over several seats.
Naylor, a passenger on board the flight, EK404, told the station he and several other passengers helped subdue the man. "He would have had the strength of 10 men," he added. "He was right near the emergency door sort of exit there," he said.

"I was worried he going to do something silly, we had all our weight on him. I had both my knees leaning on his legs to stop him from moving."
After being bound to his seat for the remaining time on the flight, the passenger cried, yelled and screamed and kept head-butting the seat. "I noticed he tried to at one stage head-butt the flight attendants who were offering him water," adds Naylor.
