Ten cases of Swine Flu emerge

Outbreak of eight confirmed cases in Karachi, two in Quetta.

Eight cases of Swine Flu have been confirmed in Karachi since October and two cases respectively in Quetta.

Sindh Minister of Health, Dr. Sagheer Ahmed has directed the secretary of health to activate a swine flu cell similar to the one set up for the Dengue outbreak.

Out of the positive cases reported in Karachi, five are adults, two of them being males and three females. The remaining are children aged between one and three-years-old. Of them, four of the children are male and three female.

Airport authorities are set on high alert and the National Institute of Health is constantly in-touch with World Health Organisation to keep themselves updated on the issue.
